have batteries as a back up and not primary source. Just get the AC/DC adapter and you are all set.
svc.no replies as of 2 weeks ago. I am an adult who takes very good care of electronics.there is no explanation for why this CD just quit in such a short time. Sent e-mail to Coby cust. Got this set last X-mas; used it approx. Stick with the "real" brands. I didn't use it for a month or so then in August I tried to play a CD (not a copy-an original). 30 times always with new "AA" Duracell batteries. and it only plays for the first 40 seconds then just spins and spins and spins.no sound, no new track song plays, nothing.
It plays the CD nicely, the speaker is average for matches its package price., i uses my Edifier speakers to listen to Taylor Hicks CD., it really shaken up my room., Wooo.Overall, this is a good package thats came with a reasonable price.Give it a try if you haven't yet. Mind that i am not from the US, i was worry that the FM radio that came with the package would not able to receives local stations.Anyhow, everything seems to works fine. ;) I got this as a gift from a friend. (Thanks again, Tara).
People are very happy to receive it. Great item even with the price having gone up.
The exterior speakers are tinny. To counter both deficiencies I went out and purchased a Bose QC3.Problems solved. The ear plugs are very uncomfortable.2. However these two lapses should be considered whenpurchasing the setup, unless pricing can make up for the deficienciesso the customer feels they got a special deal. In all I am very pleased with the Coby CD player. However, that being said, I have reservations about the accompanied accessories.1.
